The Town of Faase
Faase is a small community in Ghana, with a population of around 400 people, 45% of whom are under the age of 16. The name "Faase" literally translates to "behind the river," as the town is located behind the Faa River, where there is no bridge. For the children of Faase, getting to school is a challenging and often dangerous journey. They must wade through the river they share with animals, with some children traveling over an hour each way to attend school. During the rainy season, these children are unable to make the trek, further hindering their access to education. The people of Faase face significant challenges, but with your support, we can help bring lasting change to this community.

Branches of the Vine is building a new school in Faase to provide local children with access to education without the dangerous journey through the river. By creating this school, we aim to eliminate a significant barrier to learning while uplifting and empowering the community. Clean Water Source

Each community is carefully evaluated, and if a clean water source is not available, we take action to provide one. This is accomplished by constructing a borehole or well, ensuring that the community has a reliable and sustainable source of fresh water. Access to clean water is a fundamental need, and by providing it, we help improve health, reduce disease, and empower communities to thrive.
